Catch Yukon Quest coverage starting with pre-race reports on Feb. 8th. Join KUAC news reporters Dan Bross and Libby Casey each weekday at 7:50 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. for race updates and extended coverage from the trail. Additional reports weekends at 10:00 a.m. Libby Casey and Dan Bross are switching roles this year as Libby anchors Quest coverage from the Fairbanks studio and Dan hits the trail to report the latest developments. There are two ways to listen: on the radio at 89.9FM or stream from www.kuac.org.

The dog teams take off February 9th in Fairbanks, Alaska with the finish in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. The Yukon Quest is celebrating its 25th year and spans 1,000 miles of the toughest terrain ever covered by dogsled. As teams race through the wilderness of Alaska and the Yukon, they face the raw uncertainty of nature: windswept mountains, frigid temperatures and long dark nights. The team with the best combination of excellent dog care, calculated strategy and luck wins.
