The Spirit of KUAC Award!

Volunteers
The Spirit of KUAC Award is presented to a volunteer for exceptional service. From FM program hosts, phone volunteers, on-air talent during our pledge drives, to committee members who assist in fundraising, special events, and outreach, KUAC relies on these dedicated community members to meet our public broadcasting mission.

The Spirit of KUAC Award recipient is selected by committee comprised of community members. The award is presented at the KUAC Annual Volunteer Recognition Event held this year on Monday, April 21st in the Great Hall of the UAF Fine Arts Complex from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. We look forward to honoring an outstanding volunteer to join past recipients:
  • 2004 Leone Hatch
  • 2005 Murray Richmond.
  • 2006 John "Alaska Jahn" Lysen
